With the COVID-19 Extraordinary Call the CEI-Executive Secretariat has enabled the Albanian NGO Help the Life Association (Ndihmoni Jeten) to implement the project “Disability E-learning Platform (DEP)”.
After three years of successful implementation, the partnership of the ADRIPASS project (Integrating multimodal connections in the Adriatic Ionian Region), funded under the INTERREG ADRION Programme and led by the Central European Initiative - Executive Secretariat, virtually gathered on 2 December for their final conference.
On 26 November, around fifty participants joined the 1st Webinar of the EU project SUSTOURISMO funded by the Interreg ADRION programme organised by the Central European Initiative – Executive Secretariat (CEI-ES) to get closer to the tourism-sector-related stakeholders.
On 27 November the CEI-Executive Secretariat (CEI-ES) actively participated in the virtual final conference of the BLUE_BOOST project, entitled Boosting the innovation potential of Blue Economy.
The North Macedonian association of businesses and consultancies Kreacija has been able to level up the digital capacities of Micro-, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs) across the country thanks to the financial support granted through the CEI COVID-19 Extraordinary Call. 

With a total contribution of EUR 470,000, the CEI Fund at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has enabled the implementation of four Technical Cooperation Projects in the Western Balkans in the areas of energy, transport and capacity building.

The CEI-WHO Task Force converged virtually today to discuss ways the pandemic fatigue might be affecting the COVID-19 response among citizens in the CEI region.

On 23 November 2020 the UN General Assembly, recalling its resolution 66/111 of 9 December 2011, by which it granted observer status to the CEI, adopted the resolution on “Cooperation between the United Nations and the Central European Initiative”.

The Ministers of Agriculture from South-Eastern Europe organised by Serbia’s Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management and the Regional Development Standing Working Group (SWG), virtually gathered for their 14th Annual Working Meeting on 17 November.  
Despite the global restrictions caused by COVID-19, the CEI-supported Festival Identity 2020 workshop held in the framework of the 24th Ji.hlava International Documentary Film Festival on 29-30 October had a very positive turnout.
The South-Eastern Europe Health Network (SEEHN) Secretariat, a beneficiary of the CEI COVID-19 Extraordinary Call for Proposals, has unrolled the project “Strong nurses for strong health systems and a healthier world”, a Know-how Exchange Programme activity funded under the CEI Fund at the EBRD. Its first regional webinar “Primary Healthcare as main gatekeeper and crucial systemic element in the COVID-19 containment”, took place on 26 October 2020.
Participants from 14 countries gathered on 10 November to discuss how to strengthen social enterprises’ vision and role by improving knowledge and raising awareness on vital issues in the time of COVID-19.

How to ensure essential healthcare services whilst responding to the COVID-19 emergency was the focus of today’s webinar, organised with WHO Europe in the context of the CEI-WHO Task Force, dedicated to a dual-track primary healthcare response to the pandemic.

The Southeast Europe Leadership for Development and Integrity (SELDI) anti-corruption initiative held a webinar presenting the State Capture Assessment Diagnostics (SCAD) tool on 30 October 2020 as part of the CEI KEP project “Capacity Building for Implementing Innovative EU Monitoring Tools for Good Governance and Anti-Corruption” funded under the CEI Fund at the EBRD.
In light of the growing number of infected cases and spread of the pandemic, the CEI-WHO designated Task Force (TF) in response to COVID-19 met on 28 October to discuss testing capacities, instruments and solutions adopted in the CEI Member States.

38 representatives from 11 different countries virtually met at a conference today aimed at pinpointing new opportunities for scientific collaboration in the field of solid earth science between and among Central and South-Eastern European countries.
