EU OKs for state aid for nuclear power plant in Czechia

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, APR 30 - The EU Commission approved Czech Republic's state aid for the construction of a new nuclear power plant. In March 2022, the Czech Republic informed the Commission that it intends to support the construction and operation of a new nuclear power plant in Dukovany with a capacity of up to 1200 MW. The nuclear power plant is expected to begin test operations in 2036, with commercial operations beginning in 2038. The plant will be operational for 60 years, with decommissioning scheduled for 2096. (ANSA).
