(ANSA) - LUBIANA - Snap general election will take place in Slovenia on June 3rd, announced President Borut Pahor, who at the same time signed the decree to dissolve the parliament, setting Monday as the date for the accomplishment of electoral tasks. Among the potential election dates were also May 27 or June 10, a date that would have coincided with the regular deadline for the general elections before the resignation of Cerar's government in March. After a consulting legal advisers, Pahor chose June 3 to prevent the first week of the election campaign from taking place during the early May holidays. Pahor also expressed the hope for a relaxed and tolerant debate between the political groups, adding that he is hoping for a clear election result. (ANSA).
