International Spring School on "IoT, Economic and Management Challenges for e-Health Integration in the Enlarged Europe" held in Trieste

The XII Edition of the International Spring School in Clinical Engineering, themed "IoT, Economic and Management Challenges for e-Health Integration in the Enlarged Europe”, was held on 20-23  May 2024, at the University of Trieste.

Students, distinguished professors, and leading experts in Biomedical and Clinical Engineering from 10 European countries: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Hungary, Italy, Romania, Moldova, North Macedonia, Serbia, and Slovenia participated in the event.

The International Spring School is a prestigious forum for scholars, researchers, professionals, and students throughout Europe. It delves into the latest developments and challenges in Biomedical and Clinical Engineering. This year's focus included Advances in Digital Health, European Medical Device Regulation, Health Technology Assessment, Artificial Intelligence applications in healthcare, and e-Health.

The gathering aims to foster knowledge exchange and professional networking, furthering advancements in the field and enhancing e-Health integration across Europe.

The school was organised by Bioengineering Group and Higher Education in Clinical Engineering (HECE) at the University of Trieste, co-funded by the Central European Initiative (CEI) and received the endorsement of the International Federation of Medical and Biomedical Engineering (IFMBE), the Italian Association of Clinical Engineers (AIIC) and the Trieste Municipality.
