Secretariat participates in conference on future of Western Balkans

 

The CEI-Executive Secretariat (CEI-ES), represented by Deputy Secretary General Zsuzsanna Kiraly, recently participated in the conference "THE UNDECLARED: Political, Economic, and Sustainable Future of the Western Balkans," held in Skopje (North Macedonia) on 27-29 May 2024.
 

The President of the Republic of North Macedonia, Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova, officially opened the event organised by the Center for Research and Policy Making (CRPM) to mark its 20th anniversary. It gathered prominent thinkers and actors from the Balkans and beyond to discuss the current geopolitical situation, EU integration, economic growth, sustainability in times of climate change, and the security aspects of the region's development. These discussions aimed to better prepare for the future challenges and opportunities the Western Balkans face.
 

The CEI-ES's participation in these meetings highlights its commitment to fostering sustainable development, economic integration in the Western Balkans. The conference provided a platform for sharing insights and strategies that will help shape a prosperous and stable future for the region.
