The CEI-sponsored “Feature Events” are recurrent events - implemented in the fields of media, intercultural cooperation and life-long education and training - which highly contribute to enhancing the CEI visibility. These events either carry the name of the CEI in their title or dedicate a special segment to the CEI and provide valuable opportunities for networking, training and mobility:

  • South East Europe Media Forum (SEEMF): organised by the South East Europe Media Organisation (SEEMO), the CEI and the Media Program South East Europe of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS), the Forum is a major media event gathering editors-in-chief, leading journalists, business professionals,representatives of marketing/PR agencies, civil society and academia as well as representatives of relevant international organizations and state institutions.
Intercultural Cooperation

  • CEI Literary Round Table at Vilenica: organised by the Slovene Writers’ Association in the framework of Vilenica International Literary Festival and gathering renowned authors from the CEI region, provides an insight into the traditions of the CEI Member States through their literary and cultural backgrounds. 
  • CEI Venice Forum for Contemporary Art: organised by the Trieste Contemporanea Committee, is a biennial event held in connection with the Venice International Art Exhibition “Biennale”, gathering curators and commissioners from CEI countries and relevant experts to exchange experiences and practices in the field of contemporary art as well as to discuss concrete ways of cooperation such as co-productions.
  • CEI Special Event within the Trieste Film Festival, organised by the Alpe Adria Association, the Festival includes the “EASTWEEK project” which fosters collaboration with schools and academies of CEI countries and bring to Trieste young directors, producers and screenwriters.
  • CEI International Summer School organised by the Institute for Central Eastern Europe and the Balkans in Forlì (Italy). For several years it has been devoted to EU enlargement matters, while since 2013 the focus is on managing diversities in democracy.
