Mr. Erik Csernovitz
Deputy Secretary General
Counsellor Erik Csernovitz was appointed CEI Deputy Secretary General in October 2013 after having worked in the CEI Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Hungary in Budapest.
Having graduated in International Relations in 1994 at the University of Moscow, he also obtained a Master's degree in Banking and Finance in Milan, Italy. Erik Csernovitz enters the diplomatic service in 1995 and in 1996 he was Second Secretary at the Embassy of Hungary to Italy in Rome.
From 1999-2000 he worked as Advisor for the Eastern European countries at the European Banking Federation in Brussels and from 2000-2006 as Head of Department for International Business Development at the Banca Intesa Hungary in Budapest. From 2006-2007 he worked as Team Leader at the IBM Global Financing in Milan and Budapest. In 2007 he re-entered the MFA of Hungary and from 2008-2012 he was Counsellor at the Embassy of Hungary to Italy in Rome.
