SAVE THE DATES: open innovation workshops (Budapest, 6 Oct. 2016; Timisoara, 25 Oct. 2016)
The CEI and PANNON Pro Innovations Ltd. are happy to announce that two open innovation workshops for collaborative development of pioneering solutions in the field of Bioeconomy will be held in October 2016. The workshops are events of DANUBIONET, a pilot activity of the Danube-INCO.NET project.
The first open innovation workshop is taking place in Budapest on 6 October 2016, back-to-back with the 14th European Rural Development Network conference organised by the Hungarian Research Institute of Agricultural Economics (AKI). The event will give Bioeconomy stakeholders from the Danube Region the chance to contribute to the overcoming a real-life industrial challenge of DOW Agrosciences, who is seeking solutions to improve stakeholders’ perception and acceptance of the application of sewage sludge-based compost in agricultural production.
The second open innovation workshop will be held in Timisoara on 25 October 2016, in cooperation with the Hungarian Biogas Association, Banat’s University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Timişoara, the Romanian Sustainable Energy Cluster (ROSENC) and the Archenerg Cluster from Szeged. The workshop will provide the opportunity to offer solutions and start discussions on how the biogas technology could help the development of new solutions within the circular economy concept as well as create supply chains using new feedstock or approaches to deliver not only energy but a variety of bio-based materials.
Participation is open to potential solution providers (scholars, students, technicians, farmers, associations, etc.) from countries of the Danube Region. Application is open to individuals and teams with complementary competences (up to 5 members). A limited number of travel reimbursements will be available.
The Expressions of Interest form is available here. Please fill in and return to Miklós Gyalai-Korpos (email@example.com) and Peter Canciani (firstname.lastname@example.org) as email attachments at the latest 3 weeks before the event you want to participate in (15 September and 5 October respectively).
