Call for Applications: XXIV Summer Seminar for Young Public Policy Professionals "Future Scenarios for Central and Eastern Europe in Times of Continuous Uncertainty"

Young professionals from public institutions, think-tanks and research centers from EU and non-EU countries from across Central and Eastern Europe are invited to leverage their diverse vantage points and collective wisdom to derive a strategic outlook for the development perspectives ahead of the economies and societies in CEE countries in the current times of continuous uncertainty. Traditionally, speakers and lecturers in the international forum are distinguished experts and practitioners with extensive experience and expertise from the EU, international and national institutions, as well as representatives of the academia and research centers from Central and Eastern Europe.

This year’s Summer Seminar agenda will touch upon topics focusing on the following thematic fields

  • CEE and EU's Internal Dynamics; 
  • EU Enlargement Perspectives;
  • Central and Eastern Europe in the New Geopolitical and Security Context;
  • Twin Green and Digital Transition; 
  • Good Governance & Public Policy Innovation;
  • Foresight Sessions: CEE Navigating Uncertainty.

Target Group:

The XXIV Summer Seminar is open to young public servants, early or mid-career diplomats, policy-oriented researchers and think-tank professionals up to 35 years of age from the following 19 CEE countries: Albania, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, Estonia, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia and Ukraine.

Participation Costs:

Due to the kind financial support of the seminar supporters, EPI covers the following participation costs for all attendees:

  • 5 nights in the 4-star Flamingo Hotel Complex (single room);
  • full board (meals and coffee breaks);
  • seminar materials;
  • a half-day field trip to Varna.
